Marshall McLuhan's work is viewed as one of the cornerstones of media theory study. The subject that would occupy most of his career was the task of understanding the effects of technology as it related to popular culture, and how this in turn affected human beings and their relations with one another in communities. Much of what McLuhan wrote about decades ago, is still pertinent today.

Abstraction leaves room for interpretation. I wanted to convey the correlation of energies that technology passes onto us as humans. The first book, Printing and Social Change, discusses how the process of print helped to create an ordered society. The second, The Medium Is The Massage, explores ways technology has made the world smaller, connecting all of us within a global village. Lastly, American Advertising, comments on the often dark business of advertising in our country, which abuses technology for monetary profit upon human life.
